The Benchwarmers (2006)

A movie about over grown looses who are trying to overcome the losses in their childhood by playing baseball against teams of kids. They are baked up by a billionaire nerd who was bullied as a kid an wants his son's life to be better.As they beat team after team and enter into the final of the tournament it turns out that their best player is actually a bully............
A very cheesy movie meant for kids and isn't really appropriate for kids. It tries to convey a message but its hard to understand to whom that message is meant for.
Its got a few laughs but nothing else...........i give It 2/5

My top 11 to see in 2011

Since the year is about to end and everybody everywhere is making different lists i decided to get a list of my own.So this is my top 11 to see in 2011(from 11-6)

11.Paul(2011)

Starring-Simon Pegg,Nick Frost,Seth Rogen
Plot:-Two British comic-book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51.
Why i want to see it: three of the best comedians of our time Pegg,Frost and Rogen and not to mention it is being directed Greg Mottola(superbad)







10.Rango(2011)
Starring:-Johnny Depp,Isla fisher,Timothy Olyphant
Plot:-A chameleon that aspires to be a swashbuckling hero finds himself in a Western town plagued by bandits and is forced to literally play the role in order to protect it.
Why i want to see it:- Its a western with an animated twist with Johnny Depp  in the lead.






9.Kung Fu Panda 2(2011)

Starring:-Jack Black,Dustin Hoffman,Angelina Jolie
Plot:-Po joins forces with a group of new kung-fu masters to take on an old enemy with a deadly new weapon.

 Why i want to see it:- The first one was awesome and this installment features new masters voiced by people like Jean-Claude Van Damme,James Woods.

8.Limitless(2011)

Starring:-Bradley Cooper,Robert De Niro,Abbie Cornish
Plot :-A copywriter discovers a top-secret drug which bestows him with super human abilities.
Why i want to see it:- i read the plot and thought nothing of it but then i saw the trailer and i was hooked.Check it out yourself .Limitless trailer




















7.Transformers:Dark of The Moon(2011)
Starring:-Shia Labeouf,Rosie Huntington-Whiteley,josh Duhamel
Plot:-The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle.
Why i want to see it:-I love the transformers,cars that turn into robots,that is a really good concept and this one will be in 3D.















6.Thor(2011)

Starring:-Chris Hemsworth,Natalie Portman,Anthony Hopkins
Plot:-The powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.
Why i want to see it:-Thor is not only a super hero but also a god,that is a very lethal combination.Thor trailer

National Geographic Ancient X Files

This is a 3 episode series which is focused on explaining 6 ancient relics.

If follows writers and archaeologist trying to unravel the mysteries of these artifacts.

 The cup kept in a Spanish church which is said to be the holy grail. There is proof of the possibility of it being the actual holy grail but no proof that is specifically the holy grail. It end with the discovery of a supposed location where the grail was previously kept.

This part focuses on locating the supposed labyrinth in which the Greek mythological monster the Minator was said to eat human sacrifices. This part explores the possibility of actual sacrifices being performed in labyrinths and ends with access denied into a cave supposed to be the labyrinth.

The cloth worshiped in a Spanish church supposed to be the face cloth of Christ wrapped around his face after his death. The cloth is in a bad condition is it has been proved that it is an actual burial face cloth from the time of Christ.if this is the case the DNA of Jesus Christ is locked in a Swedish laboratory......

This is the oldest archaeological find in Greece and has never been decoded.......

It concludes by making some sense of it by using music and is believed to be an ancient prayer.....

This part focuses on the association of Isaac Newton with alchemy and how close he got to reach the philosophers stone.....

This part tries to locate the lost arc which is said to hold the 10 commandments. This also ends with restricted access to an underground cave.........

Its a series which doesn't answer but rather poses more questions. I recommend that you don't waste your time watching it

Phas Gaye Re Obama(2010)

A movie which shows the impact of the global recession on people of all walks of life and specifically how it impacted India and its criminals. A NRI business man looses every thing and goes into debt due to the recession is force to go to India and sell his family mansion which is being taken care of by his uncle. On arrival in India he realizes that he recession has hit home as well and he cant find a buyer for  the mansion. A local kidnapper gang awaiting his arrival kidnaps him assuming that he is still rich.........the rest of the story is something you should watch.

with good comic timing an fine dialog it will keep you entertained till the very end.......high points would be the English coaching class...where i was wondering for a while the teacher was even speaking English...lol.

The animal welfare minister slaughters animals and is the top kidnapper in the area gives a very comic insight into corruption of our country.

Its a movie worth spending your time and money on i give it 3/5

Tangled(2010)

Tangled is a radical new version of the story of Rapunzel. A drop of the sun came to the earth and became a magic flower it was taken by a greedy woman and used to restore her youth. The queen was ill and was with child so the people of the kingdom took the flower and used it to cure the queen as a result the baby was born with golden hair with the same magic powers as the flower.

The witch kidnaps the child and uses her magic hair to maintain her youth.

a bandit arrives at the hidden tower where the princess lives and takes her out on an adventure.

that's the basic story.

A musical based on the same lines as last years princess and the frog which also involved a modernisation of story. in this case standard 3d animation is used rather than the outdated 2d animation used in princess and the frog.

Highlights would be the royal guard horse and the tavern filled with scary looking kind hearted men looking to fulfill their dream as well as the excellent music.

A movie made to entertain all ages filled with betrayal revenge adventure love & friendship.

The concluding part was a bit cheesy and abrupt but all in all good.

I give it 3.5/5

The Godfather (1972)

A classic loved my most Americans the godfather revolves around the Corleone mafia family.

Story:

the Godfather refuses joining the drug racket which leads to an assassination attempt on him. His  son takes over the business and is focused on revenge......his second son Michel is a war veteran who makes to plan to murdered the man responsible for the attack........and he succeeds. The murder leads to a gang war where the eldest son of the family is murder which forces Michel to become head of the family under the guidance of his father he moves his family business from New York to Veges.........

A very slow movie which needs a bit of concentration to understand.........maybe because i watched the extended edition.

Set in a dull atmosphere which can turn bloody at any moment the godfather is truly a classic.

The acting is the main highlight of this movie and can only be described as excellent.

 I give it 4/5
